Jamie Foxx Shuts Down Rumors He’s Dating Singer Sela Vave Following Split From Katie Holmes

*Jamie Foxx is slamming reports he’s boo’d up with aspiring singer Sela Vave amid his breakup with Katie Holmes.

After photos surface of Foxx, 51, holding hands with Vave, folks quickly assumed his low-key romance with Holmes was over. The actress ultimately confirmed that she was the one who pulled the plug on their 6-year relationship.

Since then, Vave, 21, has been catching heat online, with folks labelling her “home-wrecker,” and told she “should die” for busting up Foxx and Holmes. 

Vave has reportedly been living in Foxx’s Thousand Oaks, Calif., mansion. In an Instagram Live clip, Foxx says that’s because he is mentoring her — as he did for Ed Sheeran, Nick Cannon and Ne-Yo back in the day when they were rising stars.

When Foxx appeared on Big Boy’s Neighborhood” on Real 92.3 on Wednesday morning, he pushed back against the rumors that he’s dating Vave.

“People are saying I’m dating the girl, let me just say this, that’s absolutely not true,” he stated, via iHeartRadio.

He then explained Vave is close friends with his daughters, Annalise, 10 and Corinne, 25. 

“I don’t date in my daughter’s range ever. I always try to make sure that my daughter can look at me and say, ‘Hey dad, you ain’t screwing up,'” he added.

In his IG Live post, Foxx explained: “People try to make mountains out of molehills. We want to treat her the same way and give her the same opportunities.” He also said of the sensationalism around their relationship: “I told her it’s going to be this way. It’s a double standard when it comes to women.”

As for the photos of them holding hands outside of Bootsy Bellows nightclub on Friday, “I’m escorting her to my car, to put her in the car,” Foxx said.

Vave shared the video on her Instagram page, along with the caption: “For the people who care… here is the TRUE story… for everyone else you can keep talking and calling me a whore, slut, home wrecker, thot, gold digger, that I should die, and what ever else you want. Because it doesn’t matter to me, I’m out here to work and do what I love most.”
