Harvey has hosted the American version of “Family Feud” since 2010.

“Bringing Family Feud to Africa has long been a dream of mine,” he said. “I believe Family Feud will become a household name for local South African and Ghanaian families. And this is just the beginning in Africa. I expect this show to lead to multiple media and business projects in and throughout the continent.”

Harvey recently documented his trip to Ghana in various videos that he shared on social media including his emotional visit to the Ghana Slave Castles on the cape coast.

“This was real pain I felt going back to Ghana’s slave castles…I could feel my ancestors on me… Powerful beyond words that I can explain,” he captioned a post on Instagram. “I encourage as many of you as possible to go HOME for your ancestors. Their strength is in each of us and we must honor their ultimate sacrifice in all that we do. #TheYearofTheReturn”
