*A Georgia mom has gone viral for her clever way of teaching her kids the importance of work and money.

The single mom hosted a job fair for household duties, complete with applications and interviews, as a means for her kids to earn their allowance, msn.com reports.

Shaketha Marion McGregor shared the idea on Facebook Tuesday and it went viral with more than 100,000 shares — check out her posts below.

McGregor said she was inspired to host a job fair after a recent shopping outing with her kids Jahkeem, 13, Takeia, 10, and Serinity, 6.

“I gave each of them a few bucks and said, ‘Spend it any way you want,’” she told TODAY Parents. “It was different than me buying them something — they were suddenly checking prices. I noticed they were more cautious because it was their money. They wanted to save.”

McGregor saw a “fire” in her kids for money management, so she “started to think of ways I could teach them about credit and how to budget their time.”

She then drafted help wanted ads for a kitchen manager, lead housekeeper and laundry supervisor. As reported by Yahoo, Jahkeem and Serinity applied for lead housekeeper, and the latter landed the gig as she’s more qualified for the job.

“I think it’s only fair that Serinity gets the Lead House Keeper Position. And she gets an added bonus (push pop) for being willing to start immediately,” McGregor wrote on Facebook. “Congratulations Serinity! I look forward to working with you lol”

The proud mom told TODAY Parents, “One of the things I asked was, ‘When can you start?’” McGregor said. “Serinity said she could start right away and my 13-year-old needed a few days because he wanted to hang out with his friends. She was far more professional.”

The teen also “wanted to know if I was taking out taxes and how much.”

Meanwhile, parents noted their eagerness to try the exercise at home with their own children.

“I love this idea!” one Facebook user wrote. “Great way to teach kids responsibility with chores and money!”
