Radio and Digital Magazine Pioneer Lee Bailey to Speak November 9, 2019 at the ‘ULMII’ Conference

EURweb publisher Lee “The Voice” Bailey.

*Lee Bailey was named “The Voice” by listeners of his radio show because of his baritone accent and now he is “the voice” of Black entertainment news via his digital magazine EURweb.

You can hear “The Voice” and meet the living legend Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the 20th annual “Uplifting Minds II” Entertainment Conference.

The “ULMII” conference, held at the Los Angeles Convention Center (1201 S. Figueroa St, 90015) from 1 – 4pm, is free and open to the public. It is where aspiring singers, songwriter, producers, record label executives, dancers, scouting agents and actors meet with experienced professionals to be enlightened and showcased.

The “ULMII” entertainment conference is where actress Naturi Naughten was scouted by a Broadway agent; it was where six-time Grammy winning SisQo first heard the Dru Hill platinum selling single “I Should Be (Your Boyfriend)” by producers/songwriters, the Featherstone brothers; it was where Disney actor RoShon Fegan’s manager said he received information that helped him take Fegan to the next level on Disney, and it was where the Senior VP of Jive Records saw the performance of Grammy winning Miguel, which resulted in a record deal. Held also in Baltimore, the “ULMII” conference is well known by record industry executives and record label producers.

Bailey has been a panelist and media sponsor of the “ULMII” conference since it arrived in Los Angeles offering his wit, expertise and experience to all who inquire. An Air Force veteran, Lee started as a radio jock while serving in the military in 1970 and after his Honorable discharge he was hired by KPOP 102FM in Sacramento and later KUTE 90.1FM in Los Angeles. Through Lee Bailey Productions he worked as a voice-over actor on commercials and corporate slide presentations. He became one of the first black syndicated radio personalities in the country through his companies RadioScope and Bailey Broadcasting Services (BBS) in 1983. His radio show RadioScope grew to include broadcasting weekly on over 100 stations in over 70 countries. Through his companies his news on black entertainment became synonymous with ‘honest’ and in depth black entertainment news. Lee has interviewed entertainment personalities on an iconic and living legend level, so often that most of them have him on speed-dial. Such as icon Michael Jackson who called him to get his help with a rumor he wanted Lee to help stop by putting his side of the story out there. He called Lee because he knew Bailey is about true news – not fake and sensationalized news.

Lee was one of the first online magazines publishers when he decided to launch EURweb.com (Electronic Urban Report) in 1997, a website where he could store and disseminate his news. Today EURweb.com receives over 185,000 visitors a week and has over 200,000 subscribers of its weekly EURweb E-blasted Newsletter. Through Radioscope his news was placed on the Mass Transit buses and trains in Los Angeles, Chicago, Orlando, Milwaukee and Atlanta that have the TransiTV and via mobile device apps.

Jefferson (METAL Law Group), television personality Melody Trice of “The Melody Trice Show” (Comcast) and public relations specialist Edna Sims (ESP Public Relations).
