*It’s not exactly a revelation because we already knew. However, it’s now official as to why Patrick Crusius killed 22 people in an El Paso, Texas Walmart.

The gunman confessed to officers while he was surrendering and later explained that he had been targeting Mexicans.

As he got out of his vehicle with his hands up, after being stopped at an intersection shortly after last Saturday’s attack, Crusius, 21, told officers, “I’m the shooter,” Detective Adrian Garcia said in an arrest warrant affidavit.

Crusius later waived his Miranda Rights and agreed to speak with detectives, telling them that he had driven to El Paso from the Dallas suburb of Allen — which is where he lived and is a more than 10-hour drive from El Paso — and that he was targeting Mexicans in the attack.

Twenty minutes before the massacre, Crusius is said to have posted a white supremacist manifesto online saying the shooting was in response to an “invasion” of Hispanics coming across the southern border.

Titled “The Inconvenient Truth,” his message railed against the dangers of mass immigration and warned that Hispanics will eventually take over the economy and government.

Crusius, who lived in a Dallas suburb, drove more than 10 hours to the largely Latino border city to carry out the shooting that killed 22 people and wounded about two dozen others.

El Paso sits on the border with Mexico and Latinos comprise over 80 percent of its population.
