*The HollyRod Foundation recently held their 21st Annual Design Care Gala hosted by founders Holly Robinson-Peete and Rodney Peete.
The celebrity couple started their foundation to aid those living with autism and Parkinson’s disease. In addition to raising funds for these causes, the event also honors fellow advocates, philanthropists and humanitarians from Greater Los Angeles and beyond.
One such honoree this year is Areva Martin, Esq. Areva received the Angel On The Path Award and she was congratulated with a citation from the Honorable Mark Ridley Thomas, Los Angeles County Supervisor.
Mrs. Martin is a civil rights attorney, a talk show host and frequent commentator on CNN, Good Morning America, Dr. Phil and more, but she is also the founder of The Special Needs Network.

The HollyRod Foundation Design Care Gala featured fashions by Pamella Roland and entertainment by Cameo. Other honorees at the Design Care Gala included Eva Longoria (The HollyRod Humanitarian Award), Jimmy Choi (The Matthew T. Robinson Award of Courage) and Kalin Bennett (The HollyRod Hero Award).
