AJ Calloway Out At ‘Extra’ Following Warner Bros. TV’s Investigation of Sexual Assault Allegations

*A.J. Calloway, who is now a former host on the entertainment news show “Extra,” and Warner Bros. TV – have come to a parting of ways in the wake of an investigation of sexual assault allegations pointed at him.

“The company has investigated the claims made into Mr. Calloway’s conduct and he and the company have mutually agreed to part ways,” a Warner Bros. rep said in a statement about the matter.

As we reported earlier, Warner Bros. had suspended Calloway last February. At the time of the suspension, Lisa E. Davis, Calloway’s legal counsel, said in a statement the following …

“Mr. Calloway maintains that these unsubstantiated allegations are patently false. He vehemently denies that he ever assaulted anyone and looks forward to clearing his name.”

Back in 2006, the now-former “Extra” host was dragged off to jail after author and activist Sil Lai Abrams accused him of sexually assaulting her, but those charges were dropped. However, last January, two more women came forward and told the Daily Beast that Calloway had sexually assaulted them.

“As I have maintained from the beginning, these allegations are not true,” Calloway said in a statement in February. “When I was first notified about these allegations by law enforcement more than a decade ago, I fully cooperated from the beginning and the case was dismissed.”

Calloway joined “Extra” in 2005.
