Cardi B’s Signature Nails Star in Reebok Commercial + ‘Clout’ Performace w/ Offset on Kimmel [WATCH]

*Cardi B’s trademark acrylic nails are the star of her new surreal Reebok commercial, which finds the rapper dishing about boy troubles while inside a salon.

Directed by Andreas Nilsbo, the scene quickly turns left when everyone inside the salon becomes fixated at the sight of Cardi’s untied shoelace on her Reebok Classic Club C sneaker.

“Hold up,” the rapper says, and that’s when her pink nails magically grow till they’ve reached her sneaker and tie the shoelace. Once the nails retract back to their normal size, “Nailed it,” Cardi concludes, as she continues with her conversation.

“It’s a creative concept that salutes Cardi’s own life experience, which saw her challenge expectations to become a self-made maven,” Reebok’s press release reads. “An artist, mother, and Grammy Award winner, Cardi B is walking, talking, red-carpet-slaying proof that those who defy convention and challenge the status quo are the ones who truly define what it means to be classic.”

As noted by Complex, Reebok’s “Sport the Unexpected” campaign highlights the unapologetic risk-takers of pop culture.

“Working with Cardi on ‘Nails,’ we aimed to create a moment that is authentic to Cardi while breaking convention and doing something more engaging than a typical celebrity cameo,” Inga Stena, Senior Director of Global Marketing at Reebok said.
