*For her appearance at Essence Festival in New Orleans on Saturday night, Michelle Obama sported a glittery midnight blue sequin jumpsuit by Sergio Hudson — and now inquiring minds want to know where they can cop one too.
Hudson told Page Six that Obama’s stylist, Meredith Koop, “wanted something less formal but still with the disco edge of the [Hudson’s most recent] collection.”
The outlet writes “The designer went to work creating a custom design in an entirely different color for Obama, who paired the groovy look with oversize Djula white gold and diamond hoops ($5,882) and a new kinky and curly hairstyle with blond highlights.”

Fan demand caused Hudson to quickly post the design for sale on Monday. The designer said Obama’s’ custom look retails for nearly $8,000, but his version for the everyday woman is available for $1,295.
In related news, for her candid conversation with Gayle King during 2019 Essence Fest, Obama also stunned with her super-curly hair accented with blonde ombré highlights.
According to Refinery 29, the playful hairstyle was courtesy of Obama’s stylist Yene Damtew, and fans are here for it.
