Advice for Black Folks: Don’t Be So Thirsty for Trump’s Kool–Aid

*One by one, Donald Trump can be seen granting audience to some of the leading Black people out there – but he is yet to meet true leaders. It was quite disgraceful and shameful to watch Donald Trump pose with Martin Luther King III for photos when he dissed John Lewis – who was one of the dedicated disciples of his father.

Well, at the end of his presidential hiatus, Black folks may be coming back into full effect for his campaigns. This is why we decided to compile some advice for Black folk on how to deal with meeting Donald Trump.

1.     Don’t Harm Him

Most of our grandmothers may have told us that nothing that starts wrong ends right. This is why until Trump apologizes or atones for his classist, sexist and racist campaigns, meeting up with him will make you an enabler.

2.     Stop Being So Thirsty

Donald Trump isn’t the All-Powerful to whom the Black community needs to bow down to. If we were given the choice of resistance or acquiescence – then we should most definitely choose resistance. Even if we feel elite by getting invited to the White House, we should know that there are some spiritual repercussions to our actions.

3.     Tell the Truth

Trump needs to hear the truth about all his racial treacheries. Most people are very good at preaching to those that are powerless but can’t seem to muster courage enough to speak the truth – face to face with the powerful. If this is the case, then you’re just meeting up with him to kiss his…ring.

4.     Save the Spin

If we are to be quite honest, most of the people meeting up with Trump are just trying to advance their own projects. Most of these people have been appointed by mainstream culture and were anointed by the Black community.

So, if you’re trying to meet with Donald Trump for making connection, make sure you are clear about your intentions. Stop spreading lies about how Trump is concerned, caring, and sincere after just half an hour with him. We have watched him for an entire year so save your fresh insights for those who care.

5.     Lead, Love, Save, Serve

Black people can’t be lead unless you love them. Black people can’t be saved unless you serve them. Service and love Black people and not Donald Trump.
