*The Netflix phenomenon that is “Stranger Things” returns for season 3. We caught up with the cast at their Los Angeles premiere.
According to actress Priah Ferguson who plays Erica Sinclair, the younger sister of Lucas Sinclair, “Season three is definitely darker.”
What can be darker than the upside-down and the Demogorgon? Well, it seems like the Duffer Brothers, creators and producers, have the answer for that in season 3. It’s known they gave the cast a list of 80s horror films to watch for inspiration and familiarity to the horror/sci-fi genre.
Actor Caleb McLaughlin says the movies helped during the first season but know they have the hang of it. “Now I think we got the feel of what Stranger Things is, so we don’t need to look at too many 80s movies.”
Noah Schnapp is giving us a taste of the darker side of Stranger things. He says his character Will Byers is suffering from PTSD after being saved from the upside-down. “Will’s been fighting to be a kid again.”

But it’s not all darkness, characters Mike and Eleven are starting to take their friendship up a notch after their first kiss in season 2. Normally romantic scenes can be awkward but not for Finn Wolfhard and Millie Bobby Brown.
“I’ve known everyone since we started our acting journey. It ended up being totally fine.” Says Wolfhard. It seems there is a lot for fans to look forward to this season.
“Stranger Things” season 3 starts airing on Netflix on the 4th of July, and what better time to binge-watch a show than during a weekend that is full of food. We asked the cast and the other celebrity at the carpet what their favorite binge-watching snacks were.
