“Ndlovu Youth Choir promises to deliver an experience of infectious joy, a toe-tapping and energetic South African music ranging from Afro-Pop classics to traditional South African music and original compositions irresistibly combined with mesmerizing choreography,” the group’s website states.

Cnandco.com writes:

The Ndlovu Youth Choir is part of the Ndlovu Care Group and is based in the Moutse village in South Africa’s Limpopo province. It’s a remote, rural area, about two hours’ drive from Johannesburg. The choir have had an incredible journey so far, with this recent trip to the AGT auditions adding to their list of accolades and stand out performances. Last year they performed a hit collaboration with Grammy® winning flautist, Wouter Kellerman, featuring a Zulu version of Ed Sheeran’s hit Shape of You.

The Ndlovu Youth Choir delighted travelers en route to the United States for their AGT audition by breaking into impromptu performance on a delayed flight that was headed to Atlanta on April 19, allafrica.com reported.

“The choir got up enthusiastically from their seats and started singing,” the choir’s artistic director Ralf Schmitt said. “Everyone was quite thrilled.”

Schmitt noted that the flight had been delayed for “a while” and people were “bracing themselves for one of the longest flights”.

“We just thought we may use the time to entertain the passengers and give them a little impromptu performance,” Schmitt said. “They were having a good time jamming and singing along.”

The choir performed for about 20 minutes and “the people loved it. We got a positive response,” he said.

The Ndlovu Youth Choir previously made headlines late last year with their rendition of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You.”

“America’s Got Talent” has remained summer’s No. 1 alternative show for 13 seasons, according to a press release.
