This Man (Ronald Eugene Griffin) Actually Tried to Steal Halle Berry’s House!

*Halle Berry can breathe a little easier now, but recently she was the target of an audacious scheme by a man she doesn’t know, to take one of her houses from her.

That man, Ronald Eugene Griffin, was first seen at one of Berry’s Los Angeles properties back in January messing with the locks, but booked up after the actress’s gardner approached him.

That was just the beginning of Griffin’s plan to get into Berry’s abode because he was back at in March. However, this time, workers at the house made a trespassing call to police. When the cops arrived, Griffin – who was there with a locksmith trying to get in – boldly claimed he was the new owner of the home and had the deed to prove it.

At that point he’d already managed to have one of the locks changed, and apparently, he also called police when he was confronted by the employees at the house. Yes, he called the cops claiming ownership and pointing the finger at Halle’s employees as trespassers!!!

Is that audacious or what? No, that’s crazy!

In any event, when police arrived Griffin, 59, insisted he was the owner of the house, but LAPD detectives quickly determined Griffin had fraudulently changed the title of the residence.

A puzzled and freaked out Halle Berry told the detectives she had no idea who this man was and she most definitely didn’t give him permission to be at her home.

As far as Griffin is concerned, he was later arrested and hit with a felony count of procuring and offering a false warranty deed and an additional count of petty theft. His bond’s set at $36k, according to TMZ.

What’s also interesting is that dude didn’t even know the home was owned by the actress.

Womp womp.
