Simpson’s first … and so far, only post … is a 22-second video that has brought in over 3.3 million views since the account went live less than 24 hours ago.
In the video, one thing that definitely stands out is a smiling Simpson, provocatively declaring that he’s “got a little getting even to do.”
Here’s Simpson’s full comment:
“Hey Twitter world, this is yours truly,” a smiling Simpson says in the video, which appears to have been taken from a golf course. “Now, coming soon to Twitter, you’ll get to read all my thoughts and opinions on just about everything. Now, there’s a lot of fake OJ accounts out there. So this one, @TheRealOJ32 is the only official one. So, this should be a lot of fun. I’ve got a little getting even to do. So God bless. Take care.”
The video accompanied a tweet that said just this: “Coming soon!!!”

As you can imaging, since it’s OJ, his snippet has already drawn mucho, mucho responses, with over 6,500 replies, 9,000 retweets and 25,000 likes in the first hours since posting. That’s a whole bunch of responses, but then again the accoiunt amassed roughly 97,000 followers in its first few hours. While the account does not yet have Twitter’s blue checkmark of authenticity, it does appear to be legitimate and will almost certainly be one of the most controversial on the social media platform.
Well, as far as Simpson is concerned, the account is official ’cause he attached this verbiage on the left panel:
“If you don’t see it here, I didn’t say it.”
As of Saturday morning, the account only followed four others Twitter profiles: @USC_FB (the official USC football account), @HeismanTrophy (the official Heisman Trophy Trust account), @JSimpsonSells (an account that appears to belong to Simpson’s son, Justin), and @SinCityAttorney (an account that appears to belong to Simpson’s Las Vegas-based lawyer, Malcolm LaVergne), reports Yahoo.
