*Seems John Singleton is not resting in peace. That’s because some family members are not asking for answers regarding the unaccounted-for hours before he was hospitalized, suffered a stroke and eventually died.
According to a TMZ report, some family members are expressing their concern and suspicions regarding the events leading up to the Hollywood director checking himself Cedar Sinai hospital back in April after his return from a trip to Cposta Rica.
And there’s legitimate reason for conern and suspicions because nobody seems to know how Singleton got to the hospital. We’ve got a real mystery here ’cause he didn’t drive himself, no friends or family are saying they took him, and there are no Uber or Lyft receipts to confirm how he arrived.
And there’s this: sources say hospital staff told family members Singleton just sort of appeared out of nowhere in a wheelchair … and he seemed pretty out of it.
As we reported back in April, Singleton was experiencing leg pain when he checked himself in, and then he suffered a massive stroke while hospitalized on April 17. He remained in a coma until his death on April 29 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A.
TMZ is also reporting that the mothers of John Singleton’s children wants answers which is why they’ve hired a private investigator. They want to know what he was doing beforehand, who he was communicating with, and whether someone knew he was in bad shape and could have done something sooner to help him.
Sounds like legitimate questions to us. If we were them, we’d be asking the same thing, too.
Oh yeah, there’s one more thing. Singleton’s mother, Shelia Ward, filed documents earlier this week to immediately take control of his estate, claiming someone close to him took stuff out of his locked office and his other valuable property is at risk.
