*On Wednesday, May 22, the hosts of “The Real” discuss what’s the best way to nonchalantly and discretely handle one’s credit card being declined while in public. And is “Netflix and Chill” still a thing?  Co-host Tamera Mowry-Housley admits to the online streaming service being a form of foreplay for her and her husband Adam.

Then, The Real’s cameras follow Yvette Nicole Brown as the hosts send her off to Las Vegas to see Janet Jackson in concert on the opening night of the icon’s “Metamorphosis” residency.  Yvette not only experiences the concert, she gets to rehearse with the show’s dancers and meets her idol “Miss Jackson” in person!

Later, actress Alexandra Shipp pays a visit to talk about the legacy of her upcoming film Shaft, her pre-fame odd jobs, and the personal significance of portraying “Storm” in the X-Men franchise.

Yvette Nicole Brown: I just landed on a semi-private jet. The Real is not playing. I’m so excited to see Janet.  And, to fly in style is just crazy. Thanks The Real!

* EDIT*

Yvette: I’m checking in!

Yvette: Hey ladies of The Real and Real fam… * EDIT*  I’m back stage at Park MGM ready to go meet with Janet’s dancers and her wonderful trainer Paulette. The show is gonna be amazing.  Ok, let’s go.

Yvette: (To the dancers) Do you guys have any tips for me? Or you guys wanna teach me something?

Dancer: 5, 6, 7, 8… 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

Yvette: Woo! I’m officially a Janet Jackson dancer! That’s what I mean! Thank you!

* EDIT*

Yvette: I just saw the most amazing show ever.  You guys need to get to Park MGM and see the “Metamorphosis” tour. It’s sick!  It’s like Janet’s musical diary.  And you get to read it.  That’s the best thing I can say about “Metamorphosis”.  I loved it. The dancers were amazing.  And I’m waiting to meet Janet Jackson and I’m… I… See, I’m about to start crying now.  Okay, my goal is not to cry.

* EDIT*

Yvette: I just met Janet Jackson.  It was everything I thought it would be.  I was looking at her eye-to-eye.  We both wore jumpsuits.  She’s pretty as all get out.  And she was kind and she gave me a hug and she smelled really good.  And I just love her.  And I did cry.  I said, “I love you”, I told her that seeing her helps little brown girls see themselves… I think we’re friends!  I think we became friends!  I think she’s my friend now.

* EDIT*

Yvette: I would like to thank the fabulous Paula Witt, Randy Jackson, the Park MGM, Janet Jackson, and the ladies of The Real.  It’s been an amazing, amazing couple of days. And I’m grateful… just grateful.  Thank you.
