Steve Harvey Loses Another Show to Another White Woman (Melissa McCarthy)

Steve Harvey

*Steve Harvey is set to lose yet another show to yet another white woman.

We previously reported that his syndicated daytime talk show “Steve” will end in the summer after a seven-year run and the show will be replaced by Kelly Clarkson‘s upcoming daytime talk show.

The final episode of Steve‘s show airs in June and reruns will reportedly air on NBC’s owned and operated stations through September.

Steve said back in January that he didn’t think his show would continue because of Kelly‘s new show.

“I thought I was until they made an announcement a couple weeks ago that they wanted to give Kelly Clarkson the owned and operated NBC Networks, and that’s my slot. I don’t know if it sold — it’s not selling like they thought,” he said.

Now comes word that actress Melissa McCarthy will replace Steve as the host of “Little Big Shots” for the reality show’s fourth season.

NBC Entertainment Co-Chairman Paul Telegdy said that it was a “refresh” for the brand.

“She’s going to bring a completely fresh perspective to it,” he said of McCarthy.

“Shows always go through an evolution and I know Meredith and the team in our Alternative division will come up with all sorts of fun ways to evolve the creative of the show because we feel that Melissa is a strong creative force with her own ideas about what the show should look like and changes will be apparent,” Telegdy added on NBC’s press upfronts call.

“What a mistake! Wherever Steve Harvey goes, his fans will follow. NBC has a knack for major blunders, and this one will also cost them BIG time. All I know is that Steve will benefit from NBC’s error,” wrote one disappointed fan in the comments of Variety’s report.

Another added, “You are making a huge mistake by taking the Steve Harvey Show off he is great at what he does I will not be watching Kelly Clarkson I think you’re going to lose a lot of viewers Steve Harvey did not deserve this he’s well-liked.”

A third noted: “I think when he left Chicago to “greener pastures” he should have stayed where he was at. Karma usually bites you in the butt!”

Meanwhile, Harvey will continue as the host of “Family Feud,” and he is reportedly in demand as an emcee for several TV specials including the annual Miss Universe pageant and Fox’s “New Year’s Eve with Steve Harvey: Live From Times Square,” according to Variety.
