EUR Exclusive! On the Scene for ‘The Intruder’ World Premiere/Red Carpet – WATCH

*Imagine having the perfect job, being happily in love, buying your dream home with that someone special, and living happily ever after. Seems to good to be true? Well, you’re almost right.

In the new movie, The Intruder brought to us by Sony Pictures, lovebirds Scott (Michael Ealy) and Annie (Meagan Good) Russell settle down into what they feel is their perfect home, but the former owner, Charlie Peck (Dennis Quaid) has a deep and twisted connection with the home that he’s not yet ready to let go of.

Wednesday night (05-01-19) night was the world premiere of “The Intruder” and of course the cast and crew were in attendance. I had the chance to speak with Geoff Zanelli, who composed all of the music for this film and he told me about the inspiration behind the sounds.

Zanelli said that he wanted to incorporate the house into the music as much as possible so that the house itself was like a character. The doorbell, floors creaking, doors closing, all inspired the score for this suspenseful film.

I also had the pleasure of speaking with Deon Taylor and Roxanne Avent who I really enjoyed. Deon Taylor directed the film and Roxanne Avent produced it, but the real reason I admire them? They’re a self-made power couple. Yes, Deon and Roxanne are married and worked together to create this amazing production, but it doesn’t stop there. Deon actually never went to film school, he taught himself the tricks of the trade. The couple spoke to me about memories of no one in Hollywood supporting them, so to see everyone out on the red carpet to see their vision finally come to life was a beautiful thing. Nothing more admirable than hard work.

Of course I couldn’t let the night go by without speaking to the stars of the film, Michael Ealy and Meagan Good. The two have worked together in the past on “Think Like a Man” which was a romantic comedy, so it’s great to see them switch gears for this nail biting thriller. Check out my interview with them to see what they had to say about the film, although I can tell you that Michael Ealy says the fans will be going “apeshit.”

“The Intruder” is in theaters everywhere May 3, 2019.
