*Showtime has picked up Kanye West’s half-hour anthology series titled “Omniverse,” with Jaden Smith attached to star and executive produce.
The limited series marks Ye’s first major foray into television. He currently co-stars on his wife’s reality show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
“Omniverse” examines the many doors of perception, Deadline reports. Season One explores the Ego through an a younger alternate reality Kanye West played by Smith.

The show is currently in development, with West, Scooter Braun and writer Lee Sung Jin among the executive producers for the potential show.
“I’m honored and thrilled to be collaborating with everyone involved to present an alternate world through the eyes of a young man somewhere in the multiverse who happens to also be a Kanye West,” said Lee. “Omniverse is not set in our world nor about our world’s Kanye West as we aim to add a new spin on alternate realities, consciousness, and push the limits of half hour narrative.”
In related news, Kanye has revealed that he can’t wait for his wife to become his lawyer.
We previously reported that Kim Kardashian is studying to become an attorney and in Sunday’s all-new KUWTK, the hip-hop star gives Kim a sweet pep talk as she laments about the challenges trying to juggle her various responsibilities, E! reports
“I don’t know what to do,” Kim shares. “How am I gonna have another kid? How am I gonna study? How am I gonna read? How am I gonna do this all?”
“I think you could get in control of your schedule,” West notes. “You just gotta like, sit back and analyze. Like, what are your distractions? Once you manage your time, you’ll be able to manage your time to be able to give attention to me, attention to the kids and attention to law that you’re passionate about.”
Kanye is looking forward to having Kim use her legal skills to help with his “f–ked up deals.”
“My wife a lawyer now! Bet you I get out this contract,” the says in the clip.
He’s referring to his deal with publisher EMI, which forbids him from ever retiring. In other words, West must create, work and make music for the rest of his life. He filed a lawsuit earlier this year to extricate himself from this contract.
