*What da hell is gong on today?! We’ve heard of manic Mondays, but this is beyond the pale, it seems.
Today, in addition to reporting that John Singleton will be taken off of life-support and Peabo Bryson suffering a heart attack, we now have sad news about the iconic Larry King. He went into cardiac arrest after suffering a heart attack at his home last Thursday reports TMZ.
The report says that King, 85, had been having difficulty breathing for months according to sources close to him, and was scheduled to go in for an angiogram on that same day.
He was rushed to the hospital where doctors performed an emergency angioplasty and inserted several stents, which successfully opened up an artery that had collapsed.
TMZ says king had been seeing doctors over the last 6 months for his breathing problems but apparently they did not diagnose the severity of the underlying problem. On the other hand, the veteran broadcaster is set to return home on some time today.

It’s worth noting that he suffered his first heart attack 32 years ago in 1987. Since then, he has been an advocate for heart health and check-ups. He even detailed his lifestyle in the lead-up to that episode back in 2004 when he released his book “Taking on Heart Disease.”
‘In early 1987 I was smoking three packs of Nat Sherman cigarettes a day, eating fried this-and-that, enjoying lamb chops with lots of fat because that always improves the taste, ordering banana cream or lemon meringue pie for dessert — and feeling absolutely fine,’ wrote King.
