*JAY-Z re-opened New York City’s famed Webster Hall on Friday night where he served up a collection of rare B-sides in front of a star-studded audience.
As we previously reported, this was Jigga’s first time playing the iconic venue in Manhattan’s East Village, which first opened in 1886. Webster Hall recently underwent extensive renovation to “preserve the iconic features of the venue, while modernizing it to meet today’s entertainment and guest experiences standards,” according to a statement, MSN reported.
The 4:44 rapper brought out Nas, Cam’ron, and Jim Jones to share the stage that was decked out with a massive Roc-A-Fella chain (see theTwitter video embed below). Tickets were “going for upwards of $1,000 on the secondary market,” according to WABC.

Jay also performed a new freestyle about gentrification while paying tribute to late rapper Nipsey Hussle.
The lyrics to the track have been shared online: “Gentrify your own hood before these people do it. Claim eminent domain and have your people move in. That’s a small glimpse into what Nipsey was doing. For anybody still confused as to what he was doing,” he raps.
