*“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Eva Marcille, who’s also a regular on “The Rickey Smiley Show” spoke out last week when she tearfully recalled the abuse she allegedly suffered at the hands of her ex-boyfriend Kevin McCall.
McCall was recently arrested on an unrelated case of domestic abuse stemming from an incident that occurred in January. He pleaded not guilty in March to one charge of corporal injury to a spouse. The rapper/producer was released on a $75,000 bond on April 16. McCall is set to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on April 30.
Meanwhile, Marcille, 34, opened up to Rickey about her past relationship with McCall, with whom she shares 5-year-old daughter Marley, RollingOut reports.
“It took me a lot of time to even be able to get up the courage to talk about it because it’s embarrassing,” Marcille said — watch the clip above.

“Coming from where I come from and being as astute and courageous as I am, you always feel like, ‘it can never be me,’” she added.
“[The abuse] didn’t start for me until I was pregnant with Marley. And then about a month after having Marley, it didn’t stop; it got worse.”
Eva said the final straw came when McCall struck her while she was holding their daughter.
“Marley was actually in my arms once. And I was like, ‘I can’t do this no more.’”
McCall responded to Marcille’s claims to PEOPLE, telling the publication that he’s “hurt that people believe lies so easily.”
Marcille previously dished about her baby daddy’s violent behavior on an episode of RHOA.
“I still feel a sense of threat,” she said after noting the numerous restraining orders she has filed against McCall. “I have had to move five times, and I still feel a sense of uneasiness. He’s just so petty sometimes. I’ve walked outside of my balcony before and he’s been standing in the dark. And it is the scariest feeling ever.”
In addition to the child he shares with Eva, McCall has an older daughter named Jenesis McCall from a previous relationship. Since calling it quits with his second baby mama, Kevin has had several breakdowns on social media about not being able to see the child they have together.
Marcille has long moved on from his drama. She now lives in Atlanta and is married to businessman Michael Sterling. They share a son and Sterling co-parents her daughter Marley.
