*Ever since she was released from prison in 2014 after a six year stint for shooting a woman in the stomach, rapper Remy Ma has been working hard to fix her image.
However, it may have all be for naught if the reports about her assaulting her “Love & Hip Hop New York” co-star Brittney Taylor are true. Just think about it. All that hard work could be down the drain and even worse, it could send her back to jail as she is still on parole.
The bottom line is that Remy is accused accused of punching Taylor in the eye at a Pretty Lou Benefit Concert on April 16 at New York City’s Irving Plaza. Taylor confirmed the incident in a subsequent video that she posted to her 315,000 Instagram followers.
“I didn’t wanna bring it to social media because Its pretty embarrassing and not a good look tbh,” she wrote in the post’s caption, showcasing a clearly visible black eye. “I tried to cover it up with make up and move on but that still didn’t work. My Question is @remyma why did you really do this?”

So, here am I on my way to a very important meeting and it’s hard to even focus because of what occurred last night. I didn’t wanna bring it to social media because Its pretty embarrassing and not a good look tbh. I tried my best to cover it up with make up and move on but that still didn’t work. My Question is @remyma why did you really do this? #WHATHAPPENEDTOWOMANEMPOWERMENT #BlackLove? Smh ??♀️
So what led up to the black eye, you may be wondering? According to a TMZ report, Taylor says in the green room of the Irving Plaza, the two had words with each other in advance of Remy striking her. Taylor said Remy was reportedly pissed about an attack that occurred weeks ago on Remy’s stepdaughter, Dejanae.
After seeking treatment at a nearby hospital, Taylor reported the incident to authorities, triggering an investigation by the New York City Police Department. No charges have been filed and no arrests have been made, but Taylor has hired attorney Sanford Rubenstein and intends to prosecute, according to New York Daily News.
Like we said up top, if Taylor’s allegations are proven to be true, Remy could be in some serious trouble. After serving six years in prison for a 2007 attempted murder charge, she’s currently on parole.
On the other hand, close associates to Remy say Taylor’s story is bogus. So far Remy has not commented one way or the other.
