Eboni K. Williams: Former Fox News Host Says Network Aimed to Demonize ‘The Other’ [WATCH]

*Former Fox News host Eboni K. Williams says there’s a “very good reason” the network has a “racist” reputation and it can traced back to its founder Roger Ailes.

Ailes died at the age of 77 in 2017, a year after exiting the network amid his sexual misconduct controversy.

Williams hit up “The Breakfast Club” on Thursday and told co-host Charlamagne tha God that Ailes’ mission with FOX was to demonize “the other.” It was “literally the purpose of why the network was founded,” she said.

“I don’t know what his beliefs are, but what he knew was it would be very profitable,” Williams added. “OK, when you find a fear-based thing like that and you can capitalize on it, in a unique way, no one had ever done this before.”

Charlamagne then asked if “the fear of a black and brown people is what drives all the messaging on Fox News?”

“It feels like a viable threat,” she replied. “I went there because I felt I was going to be a savior of sorts, and talk to the people in the middle, that still watch that network because whether we like it or not, Fox is number one for a reason.”

Williams noted that there are a growing number of white Americans “questioning about what does the rise of… black and brown [people] being more visible in this country, what does that mean for me and mine?”

She previously described her time at the network as “challenging,” but insisted she “walked in there to disrupt.”

“I went there because I felt I was going to be a savior of sorts, and talk to the people in the middle, that still watch that network because whether we like it or not, Fox is No. 1 for a reason.”

Williams was employed by FOX for four years before leaving the network in late 2018.
