Nigerian Brother who ‘Attacked’ Smollett Wins Boxing Competition – Waka Flocka Not Shot in Studio Shooting

*We’ve got news on one of the Nigerian brothers allegedly paid by actor Jussie Smollett to do a fake beat down of him and make racist and homophobic threats. Abimbola “Abel” Osundairo has won the Chicago Golden Gloves amateur boxing tournament.

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that Osundairo, who allegedly took $3,500 from Smollett to help stage the Jan. 29 incident, took home the “senior novice division” title Friday night following a technical knockout in the first round.

The division is for less-experienced boxers between 21 and 35 who weigh 178 pounds or less.

In other news, rapper Waka Flocka Flame is OK. He escaped injury when gunshots were fired at an Atlanta recording studio earlier this month.

News outlets quote Atlanta police as saying that at least three men fired several shots into the ZAC Recording studio on April 4 when there were about a dozen people inside.

One man was shot in the arm. Waka Flocka, whose government name is Juaquin Malphurs,  had to take cover, but was not injured.

Investigators have not said if they believe the rapper was a target and have not made any arrests.
