*Former porn star Kim Kardashian chopped it up with Vogue magazine for a cover story in its May issue in which she reveals her plans to pursue law as she desires to become a top notch attorney like her late father.
The 38-year-old reality TV star, who did not complete college, plans to take the bar exam in 2022. Last summer she began a four-year apprenticeship with a law firm in San Francisco. Did you know hopeful attorneys are not required to go to law school prior to taking the bar exam?
The L.A. native happens to live in one of the four states (California) that allows folks to bypass law school if they simply “read the law” or apprentice with a practicing lawyer or judge as an alternative path to passing the bar, MSN reports.

As you know, Kim’s father, Robert Kardashian, was part of O.J. Simpson’s “Dream Team” of lawyers when he stood trial for double murder in the 90’s.
Kim was motivated to become a lawyer after meeting with Trump to discuss prison reform and the freeing of Alice Marie Johnson from prison last year.
“I had to think long and hard about this,” she says of her decision to pursue law.
Recalling her meeting at the White House, Kim said, “I’m sitting in the Roosevelt Room with, like, a judge who had sentenced criminals and a lot of really powerful people and I just sat there, like, Oh, s—. I need to know more.”
She continued, “I would say what I had to say, about the human side and why this is so unfair. But I had attorneys with me who could back that up with all the facts of the case. It’s never one person who gets things done; it’s always a collective of people, and I’ve always known my role, but I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society. I just felt like the system could be so different, and I wanted to fight to fix it, and if I knew more, I could do more.”

One of Kim’s biggest supporters is CNN commentator and activist Van Jones, who also met with Trump back in May when Kim argued for Alice’s clemency.
“Kim Kardashian wound up playing this indispensable role,” Van told Vogue. “I watched Kim Kardashian unleash the most effective, emotionally intelligent intervention that I’ve ever seen in American politics.”
He continued, “Kim understood that he needs to be seen as taking on the system, and she helped him to see that there are people who the system was against and that his job was to go and help them,” Van explained. “And it was remarkable. So for people who have fallen for this media caricature of the party girl from ten years ago who hangs out with Paris Hilton? This is the daughter of an accomplished attorney and the mother of three black kids who is using her full power to make a difference on a tough issue and is shockingly good at it.”
