*Seven people connected to a prostitution ring that rocked Fort Valley State University are facing jail time, according to The Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
Alecia Jeanetta Johnson, 49, who served as an executive assistant to the president and was a graduate adviser to the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, allegedly served as the ring leader. She reportedly performed sex acts in exchange for money and provided prostitutes to prominent men in the small community located south of Atlanta.
Johnson has been charged with six counts of prostitution and three counts of pimping and two counts of solicitation of sodomy. She faces a up to 12 months in prison and up to a $1,000 fine per count.

Johnson was indicted along with six other men who were hit with one count each of solicitation of sodomy, as well as two counts each of pandering for sexual acts.

Ernest Harvey, 47; Kenneth Howard, 56; Ryan Jenkins, 35; Charles Jones, 57, Devontae Little, 26, and Arthur James Nance Jr., 46, face up to 12 months incarceration and/or a $5,000 fine, and up to 12 months and up to a $1,000 fine per count for solicitation of sodomy and prostitution.
Jones was reportedly the university’s chief legal counsel until he was fired amid the headline-making controversy.
The district attorney said in a press release on Friday that the charges were “the result of a nearly year-long investigation into illegal conduct related to Fort Valley State University.”
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation reportedly worked with the Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office and launched an investigation in April 2018, at the request of the Georgia Attorney General’s Office.
Fort Valley State released a two-paragraph statement shortly after arrest warrants were issued in October 2018.
