Chris Tucker: Comedian Teases ‘Rush Hour 4’ in Photo with Jackie Chan

*Fans have been waiting for over a decade for funnyman Chris Tucker to reunite with Jackie Chan for another “Rush Hour” film, and judging by a recent Instagram post, it seems the wait could soon be over.

On Sunday, Tucker posted a photo of himself with Chan, leading fans to conclude that they are gearing up for “Rush Hour 4,” Complex reports.

Script issues and personal scandal are part of the reasons for the long delay for RH4. Most notably Brett Ratner, who helmed the first three films but when New Line Cinema, the studio behind the franchise, merged with Warner Bros last year, WB decided to cut ties with Ratner and his RatPac-Dune Entertainment company amid his sexual misconduct and harassment controversy.

Meanwhile, Chan previously spoke of the future of “Rush Hour 4,” saying: “For the last seven years, we’ve been turning down the script, turning down the script,” he said during his 2017 appearance on Power 106’s The Cruz Show. “Yesterday, we just agreed. The script probably at the end of this month will have a second draft, and next year, probably [we will] start. I hope — if Chris Tucker agrees.”

In February, Tucker confirmed on ESPN’s “The Plug” podcast that “Rush Hour 4” was going to happen.

“It’s happening,” he said. “This is gonna be the rush of all rushes. Jackie is ready and we want to do this so that people don’t ever forget it.”

The famed comedian added, “This is gonna be the rush of all rushes. Jackie is ready and we want to do this so that people don’t ever forget it.”
