*Regading Nipsey Hussle‘s memorial/funeral service, it’s now set to be held in same venue that same venue that was used for Michael Jackson’s back in 2009.
The service will happen this coming Thursday (04-11-19) at the Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles . The world famous facility holds upwards of 20,000 people. TMZ is reporting that tickets will be available for the event through a website and only ticket holders will gain admission.
The report says there were meetings on Wednesday with Nipsey’s family and officials from Staples as well as LAPD to help plan logistics and security for the event.

The story also notes that it’s HUGE deal to pull off a major event such as this in less than a week. Heck, we’re talking about stuff like staging equipment that needs to be rented, etc. Meanwhile, ushers who work at Staples have already been asked to reserve the day so they can work.
The turnaround for the venue will also be quick — the final Clippers game for the regular season is the night before.
Nipsey Hussle’s life was cut short at the age of 33 when he was shot and killed last Sunday (03-31-19) at his Marathon Clothing store on Slauson Blvd. in the Hyde Park section of Los Angeles. Police have arrested and charged a man named Eric Holder for murder of the beloved rapper/entrepreneur.
