Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter to Reprise Bill & Ted Roles for Another ‘Excellent Adventure’ [VIDEO]

*Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter have announced plans to take us on another epic adventure with Bill and Ted when they film the third installment in the franchise this summer.

Three decades after they first got together, Reeves and Winter are set to reprise their roles in the cult classic for “Bill & Ted: Face the Music.”

The film’s stars took to Twitter Wednesday to confirm filming this summer.

The duo thanked fans who have long called for their return to the big screen.

“It is all because of you guys,” Winter says. “We owe you a huge debt of gratitude and we wanted to stay thank you.”

“And be excellent,” Reeves added. Watch the clip above.

TMZ reports that the Bonita Unified School District will open its door to the cast and crew for filming scenes at the real high school portrayed in the film, San Dimas High School.

BUSD officials told the outlet, “while the district hasn’t been contacted by anyone in the production so far, they’d be thrilled to provide a backdrop in the upcoming installment and would accommodate any filming.”

As reported by NME, a synopsis for “Bill & Ted 3: Face the Music” via EW reads: “To fulfil their rock & roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they’ll be helped by their families, old friends, and a few music legends.”

Meanwhile, The Reaper from the franchise will return for the third film with, William Sadler also set to reprise the role that he played in “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Adventure,” the sequel to 1989’s “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.”

“Bill & Ted 3: Face the Music” is scheduled for release on August 20, 2020.
