*Hmm, so is this how Mama June Shannon (“Honey Boo Boo”) lost all that weight a couple of years ago? What we’re alluding to is the fact that she and her boyfriend got busted for cocaine possession following a domestic dispute. Hey, we’re just trying to make a cornball joke, but the reality is that she lost the weight through surgery.
In any event, if you missed it, the backstory is that Shannon, the mother of Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia at an Alabama gas station while Geno Doak was cuffed for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and domestic violence, TMZ reported:
According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, after arriving at the gas station cops were about to pat down Doak when he told them not to reach inside his pocket and said, “I don’t want you to get sticked or nothing.” Cops found a needle and then set their sights on Mama June.
She said she was the owner of the vehicle and claimed ownership of everything inside. Cops found a needle on the driver’s floorboard. Police then patted June down and found a glass pipe with white residue inside the pocket of her jogging suit. They also found a green pill bottle containing a white controlled substance in the glove compartment. June said the white substance was crack cocaine.
As of now, it’s still not know why police were called to the gas station. By the way, Doak, 43, has a lengthy criminal history that includes arrests for theft, burglary and criminal damage to property. They’ve been dating for three years.

TMZ also got audio of a conversation between Mama June and the tow truck driver after she was released — she was trying to get her car out of impound. She sounds manic as she describes what she says went down.
Shannon is best known for starring in the “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” reality TV series. At one point she weighed 460 pounds, but lost 300 pounds and slimmed down to a size 4 after undergoing gastric sleeve surgery. However a recent pic shows she’s gainedd some of it back:
The reality TV show was canceled after four seasons when it was revealed that Shannon’s then-boyfriend Mark McDaniel, served 10 years in prison for molesting her then 8-year-old daughter, Anna, according to the celebrity gossip site.
Shannon and Doak also appear in a spinoff series called “Mama June: From Not to Hot,” which had its season 3 premiere Friday night (03-15-19).
