‘Unsung’ Exclusive Clip: How Jamie Foxx and Adina Howard Came Together for ‘T-Shirt & Panties’ [WATCH]

*TV One’s original, documentary series “UNSUNG” will air new episodes on Sunday, March 10; kicking off with untold stories from R&B singer Adina Howard.

The sultry R&B vixen became a star in the mid-1990s with the chart-topping hit “Freak Like Me.” More than a party anthem, it was a transformative song that allowed women to unabashedly take ownership of their sexuality. Almost overnight, Howard became an outspoken leader for female empowerment, but success came at a price.

“T-Shirt & Panties” was a popular follow-up to “Freak Like Me” and many fans don’t know that the track was co-written by Jamie Foxx. Watch how the collaboration came about via our exclusive clip above.

Since she didn’t write or produce most of her songs, she received little money from her gold debut and platinum selling single. After making unsavory comments about the head of her record label, Howard was all but blackballed from the industry. Now she is back with new music and ready to tell her story, live and uncensored.

Get ready to relive the journey with her when “UNSUNG” airs Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/8C on TV One.

After the episode, be sure to catch the tvone.tv exclusive of Adina Howard’s “UNSUNG Live,” a musical performance series where UNSUNG artists perform a hit song allowing fans to experience their amazing talent. Howard performs her seductive hits “Freak Like Me” and “T-Shirt & Panties” with the band Mothers Favorite Child.
