*The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle is expecting her first child with Prince Harry in April but pregnancy hasn’t stopped her from traveling the world and carrying out her royal duties — and Queen Elizabeth II is said to be quite impressed with her.
Despite being hated by British media, an msn.com report notes that the public and royal watchers have also taken notice of Markle’s remarkable work ethic.
According to a Palace aide who spoke with Vanity Fair, the Queen has been “impressed” by how Meghan and Harry have represented the family on their tour of Morocco.

“The Queen is amazed by the duchess’s energy and stamina given that she is so heavily pregnant,” a source told the outlet. “For the Queen and her generation, you generally hid your bump and put your feet up in this stage of pregnancy, but Meghan hasn’t stopped.”
The source also noted that the Queen is not the type to shower one with praises but on occasion she’s been known to express her appreciation in a handwritten letter, the report states.
“There may well be a letter waiting for the duke and duchess when they return,” the royal insider continued. “She respects hard work and loyalty above everything.”
The Queen’s advisors who travel with Meghan and Harry have also noted that the Duchess has “some serious stamina” and that “her work ethic is pretty impressive, she really doesn’t stop.”
In related news, actor George Clooney came to the defense of the new royal, claiming Markle is being “vilified and chased” in the same way Princess Diana was in the ’90s.
Speaking to Australian magazine Who, Clooney noted the consequences of the media scrutiny of the former actress.
“I do want to say, they’re just chasing Meghan Markle everywhere,” he said. “She’s a woman who is seven months pregnant and she has been pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was, and it’s history repeating itself. We’ve seen how that ends.”
