*In a previous column, I wrote about how President Donald Trump has the unique position of inspiring violence against his own citizenry.

Domestic terrorist Lt. Christopher Hasson was the latest and I’m sure there will be others. However, he’s not the only Republican who has talked of violence.

Today I learned Minnesota State Rep. Cal Bahr called for Democrats to be “curb stomped” because they were pushing gun control legislation.

“They will not go quietly into the good night. They need to be kicked to the curb and stomped on and run over a few times,” said Bahr at a Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus rally.

But calling for violence and talk of civil war is a regular occurrence among Republicans. According to a Media Matters story, Republicans have been warning of civil war as far back as 2010.

Here are some other examples.
