*Annnnnd we’re right back where we started, so to speak. As of n ow, police still have NO suspects in the alleged beating of “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett.

Those two Nigerian brothers (Abimbola ‘Abel’ Osundairo and Olabinjo ‘Ola’ Osundairo) who were arrested earlier today by Chicago police, were released Friday night without being charged in the alleged hate attack on Smollett.

“Due to new evidence as a result of today’s interrogations, the individuals questioned by police in the Empire case have now been released without charging and detectives have additional investigative work to complete,” Chicago Police said in a tweet Friday night.

Earlier on Friday, police said they were questioning two men who were taken into custody at O’Hare International Airport on Wednesday night after returning from a trip to Nigeria.

As has been reported, Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo, have a relationship with Smollett, Chicago Police said — fueling speculation the attack may have been staged.

Smollett alleged he was on the phone with his manager, Brandon Z. Moore, and walking home from a Subway restaurant in Chicago at 2 a.m. Jan. 29 when he was accosted by two people who shouted racial slurs, tied a noose around his neck and doused him with a “chemical substance” resembling bleach.

Chicago police had a 48-hour window to charge the brothers, which ended on Friday night.

  1. I’ll take the brothers anyday. I wanna marry one of them..lol!

Seriously, I didn’t want to believe that Jussie and maybe that one percent of me say he could be innocent as there are Black folk still getting arrested by some one person call 911 on them, but I admit..its not looking too good for him.

In case it’s definite that Jussie self tortured himself,it would be sad and just unbelievable. Non of it makes sense for him to risk his career over this. Not only he may have put his career at risk but he may have messed up Empire and hurt his siblings acting career.

I’m not gay but Jussie didn’t realize how much of an advocate he could have been in his and the Black community. Jussie could have been iconic but he may have screwed himself up.

He should ask himself this question: was this all worth it?
