*“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes caught some heat back in November after she publicly criticized her husband Gregg’s temperament during his stage III colon cancer battle.
“I would just think if I have or had cancer, I would see life so differently!” she wrote on Twitter at the time. “Not being mean, grouchy and evil for no reason! But that’s me. Pray for me.”
Many slammed the reality TV star for being “evil” and insensitive but NeNe stood by her words.
In a recent RHOA after-show taping with Marlo Hampton, the two women dished about their girl’s trip to Tokyo, and NeNe reveal that Gregg had a “full-on attitude” with her while she was away, “texting me and talking ridiculous,” she said, according to MadameNoire.
“So Gregg and I were arguing every day that I was in Japan. We argued daily,” said NeNe. “The whole time I’m in Japan — when we take these girl’s trips, it’s mental for me. I always know when I take a trip with them, it’s not going to be like, good. Somebody’s going to be arguing. I’m a be in something. So I needed him to be my support, and he wasn’t there.”
“Look, I go home with Gregg, honey. I sleep with Gregg, honey, so I know what the f–k Gregg really is,” she added. “I know every hair on his body, okay? I know what the hell Gregg is. I know Gregg can go left when he wants to go left. And a lot of people think he’s such an angel and I’m not saying that he’s not. He’s a sweet guy. He’s a good guy, all of those things. But he’s a f–king a–hole when he wants to be. He is! He’s mean when he wants to be.”

Hampton suggested that many fans criticized NeNe because she hadn’t been vocal about Gregg’s attitude prior to him falling ill. But Mrs. Leakes says she doesn’t care how people perceive her situation because she’s “sick of that.”
“They only see Gregg as this good guy because whenever he’s around he’s always cool with every girl,” she said. “When he sees everybody, he’s like, ‘Hi! How you doing?’ And I’m like, did he just switch? Because he can’t even say ‘Hi, how am I doing?’ but he wants to worry about everybody else.”
After fans of the couple read NeNe for filth across social media, Gregg defend his wife and apologized publicly in January for hurting her.
“We always hurt the ones we Love.. because they allow us to hurt them rather than snap back,” he wrote on Instagram. “I’m tired of hurting my wife who is only trying to take good care of me and wants only the best for me too. She deserves much more for her hard efforts and tireless hours spent on me. I Pray to God to get it together.. She’s done NO wrong… this is ALL on me……Cancer WILL change your Life.”
“I wish i could get it right everyday & not be mean to my wife, doctors or anybody else,” Gregg added in a separate post. “It’s NOT my intentions to be so. I stand in the ‘need’ of Prayer… You can’t help but wonder what’s around the next turn for yourself. Forgive me Hunni, forgive me America.”
