*Hundreds of beauty influencers and aficionados will convene for the ESSENCE® Beauty Carnival ™. Recognized as the world’s largest beauty experience for Black women, the event will kick off its multi-city tour in New York City.
Newly reimagined and expanded, ESSENCE’s Beauty Carnival tour promises to deliver an immersive experience featuring expert tutorials, engaging conversations, exclusive interviews with today’s beauty icons, live podcasts and special guest performances.
The event is inspired by ESSENCE’s original Beauty Carnival, which takes place during the annual ESSENCE Festival in New Orleans and attracts more than 10,000 fans per day from around the world.
The tour will return to New Orleans this summer—making the 25th anniversary ESSENCE Festival its second stop. The Beauty Carnival’s final destination in October 2019 will be announced in the coming weeks.
Additional event highlights include: ESSENCE’s new museum of Black Beauty (documenting key historical and cultural moments highlighting hair for 2019); a curated “Shop ESSENCE” beauty marketplace; pampering services; celeb meet-and-greets; giveaways and more.
