YoYo’s R. Kelly Story: Singer’s Crew Slipped Her Daughter His Digits – WATCH

*Add rap legend YoYo to the list of people pointing their finger at R. Kelly for doing something inappropriate to them or someone near and dear to them, like her daughter.

Yolanda Whitaker a/k/a YoYo can’t seem to shake something  that happened with R. Kelly sometime ago when she went to his recording studio with her daughter and the singer’s people slipped her daughter his phone number, reports TMZ.

YoYo was in Atlanta Saturday night for the Trumpet Awards at The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center when she revealed the story her daughter told her.

YoYo says her daughter was over 21 at the time, but R. Kelly didn’t know that. She clearly felt betrayed by him and said at that point she knew something was up but didn’t know the scope of the problem.

“I actually went to listen to his music and my daughter came with me,” she says in the clip. “The sad part was when we got home, my daughter said, ‘Mom, someone passed me R. Kelly’s number. I said, ‘What!?’ She’s like, ‘Mom, please don’t say nothing. This is why I didn’t tell you.’

She added …

“I didn’t say anything, but you know, it really let me know there is a real problem,” she continues. “It really let me know that there really is a problem because with all of that that was going on for that to still happen —  and it happened to me. I was thinking I’m your friend. I come here with my daughter who’s over 21, but you don’t know my daughter’s age, and behind my back? You will slide my daughter your number? That’s just weird to me, like a weirdo. Who would do that?”

The time frame is unclear, but it seems this happened fairly recently because she says it went down at an L.A. recording studio where she and her daughter were listening to R. Kelly’s new album.
