Michelle Williams Announces the End of Relationship with Chad Johnson

michelle - chad

Well now, WHAT do we make of this? Oh, c’mon on now. WHO are we kidding. The headline says it all. Seriously, nobody, if they’ve been paying attention, can say they didn’t see this coming. In fact, we dare say, some folks (Michelle’s fans) have been praying for this moment.

Yes, Michelle Williams and pastor Chad Johnson are dunzo.

Michelle made the announcement in an Instagram Story post on Friday morning — the same day she dropped her new single, “Fearless.”

“I still remain fearless,” she wrote in simple white text on a black background. “I guess I still remain single! Things didn’t work out. The healing that needs to take place is a must! I don’t wanna destroy another relationship. Blessings to him, his family and ministry. #FEARLESS”

The engagement was announced back in April. They met on one of Chad’s spiritual retreats in 2017.

The news also comes as a surprise because the couple’s OWN reality show, “Chad Loves Michelle,” about their pre-wedding couple’s therapy, is still airing new episodes on Saturday nights.

To be honest, it really comes as no surprise that it’s over between these two. They both came to the relationship with their own set of baggage/issues, including not having sex. They discussed the issue last month during an appearance on “The Real“:

Michelle Williams and Chad Johnson Talk No Sex Before Marriage

Jeannie Mai: And another thing you guys have been open about leading up to the marriage is waiting to have sex before marriage.

Michelle Williams: Mmhm. Yes.

Jeannie: So, how’s it going? Let us know that.

Chad Johnson: Here comes the questions.

Michelle: We still waiting.

Jeannie: Ok, still waiting. Yes.  I mean keep it real, girl. But, why? Why that decision?

Michelle: Go ahead.

Chad: Well, I mean. Obviously… she passes it off to me. Obviously we are both committed to our faith.  So, that plays the first and foremost part of our, you know.

Tamera Mowry-Housley: Amen.

Chad: But, also, I wanted to make sure Michelle felt that she didn’t have to give me anything physically in order for me to, you know, for her to win my affection, my total affection and attention and connect spiritually, you know, mentally, intellectually.

Loni Love: So, there ain’t been no, no, no, nothing?

Tamera: Oh my gosh, Loni!

Michelle: The struggle is so real. And when we first started dating and Chad said ‘sex is not an option’, and it took the pressure off of me so that I don’t feel like I had to have sex with him to keep him.

Tamera: That’s nice.

Jeannie: Wait. Chad said it first?

Michelle: Yes.  He said ‘it’s not an option’.  I said ‘well, come on, Jesus,’ and look what I got. (shows ring)
