Alabama Mall Shooting Suspect (Erron Brown) Arrested in Atlanta Area

*We have new info related to that shooting in an Alabama mall last Thursday. According to a report from CBS46 in Atlanta, suspected shooter has been arrested in South Fulton (county).

The man’s name is Erron Brown. He was arrested around 9:30am Thursday morning at a home on Highwind Way.

The arrest comes in the wake of an arrest warrant issued on Wednesday in Alabama, charging him with attempted murder.

According to Hoover, Alabama police, a fight between two teens at the mall resulted in an exchange of gunfire that resulted in an 18-year-old man and 12-year-old girl being injured.

During the ensuing melee, Emantic Bradford Jr., 21, fled the scene, but was confronted by two Hoover police officers.

A police officer then fatally shot him in the face, no less, believing he was the gunman. That led to several protests at the shopping mall.

If you recall, police initially portrayed the officers as heroes who were able to quickly “take out the threat.” Later, with egg on their faces, they had to retract that statement.

Meanwhile, as we reported, Bradford’s death sparked protests in the area from dozens of people who expressed anger at the police shooting of a black man.

Family members said they were frustrated by the actions of the officers.

“I knew my son didn’t do that. People rushed to judgment. They shouldn’t have done that,” Emantic Bradford Sr. told The Associated Press.

As far as the shooting suspect, Erron Brown, at this point, there’s no word on when he is expected in court.
