*Long Beach, CA. was the place to be over the weekend for endless amounts of drip and the latest in streetwear fashion for the third annual ComplexCon.

The curated convention and festival brings together pop culture, music, art, food, fashion and innovation. The two day event draws over 30,000 people while showcasing installations from brands like Champion, HBO’s The Shop, McDonalds and Death Row Records. There were panels featuring Nas, Pharell Williams, Allen Iverson and Issa Rae.

EURweb’s Jill Munroe attended a round table discussion for the upcoming film “Creed II” moderated by Terrence J, that featured Michael B Jordan (Adonis Creed), the film’s director Stephen Caple Jr., Florian Munteanu who portrays Creed’s foe Viktor Drago and trainer Corey Calliet.

During the conversation, both Jordan and Caple expressed how themes of family are prominent in part two. Jordan explained, in Creed II Adonis has a child with Bianca that he now has to consider as he’s fighting for his family’s name against the son of the man who killed his father Apollo in “Rocky IV.” Munteanu added that there is a similar theme for Viktor. The only connection he has with his father Ivan is through boxing. So both Adonis and Viktor are fighting for the same thing, family honor. The audience will get to experience both sides of this battle as the two fight for their shared legacy.

Trainer Corey Calliet discussed the training routine for Jordan. Calliet also trained Michael for his role in “Black Panther.” He said the goal was to take the star even further up than where he was for that film. That involved eating six times a day, plus two to sometime three workouts per day. Discipline and diet were key.

“Creed II” also stars Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad and Dolph Lundgren. It hits theaters right before Thanksgiving on Nov. 21, 2018.
