*Somerset, New Jersey – dfree® kicked off its national homecoming conference last Thursday with an intimate welcome reception for corporate sponsors, where awards were given out to the dFree Loyalty Church (House of Hope, Atlanta), an outstanding entrepreneur (Todrick Johnson, Epitome Magazine), a leading media supporter (Alfred Edmond, Black Enterprise) and trailblazing corporate leader (Kristen Maisonable, Prudential).
In her exuberant welcome Thursday evening, First Lady Donna Soaries exclaimed “dfree® is going places! Regardless of your needs, there is something here to help you, help a friend, help a family member, and if somebody owes you money, we have a workshop to help you with that,” she said amidst joy and laughter from attendees.
Friday morning started bright and early with high school students being bused in from around Central New Jersey, and as far as Philadelphia.
More than 700 excited teenagers filled the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens for Young Money Day: Building Billionaire’s Live, which featured a Q&A with Diggy Simmons.
There were also Q&A sessions with accomplished urban music executive Cayla Cousins and entrepreneurial sensations Jr. Flips, who inspired not only the teenagers but the adults.
Founded by Reverend DeForest B. Soaries, Jr., senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, dfree® offers programming, events, online tools, content, and curriculum that has helped more than 30,000 people transform their lives by the significant reduction and even elimination of burdensome debt, which frees up money to build wealth and leave a legacy for the next generation.
