Birdman’s Alleged Jailhouse Call Prompts Judge to Pumps the Brakes on Lawsuit Over Lil Wayne Tour Bus Shooting

*The lawsuit over Lil Wayne‘s tour bus shooting has been paused by a Georgia judge amid the release of an alleged jail phone call involving Birdman.

As reported by The Blast, back in 2016, Weezy’s tour bus driver, Alvin Lewis, sued Young Thug, Birdman, rapper Peewee Roscoe, Cash Money Records and Young Money Records over the incident. Lews alleges that before and after the shooting, Roscoe made multiple phone calls to Thug and Birdman.

Roscoe was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the shooting and is currently behind bars.

Lewis called the shooting “gang-related,” and he’s seeking unspecified damages.

According to the report, a phone call was recently released believed to be between Birdman and Roscoe, from behind bars, following the shooting. Lewis believes it is the voice of the Cash Money CEO on the recording saying to Roscoe, “Time for you to come out here and get your money. You did everything you could do, boss.”

Meanwhile, the Cobb County District Attorney is still deciding whether to file charges against Young Thug and Birdman relating to the shooting.

“However, on October 4, the judge ordered the entire lawsuit to be stayed due to the conduct of the lawyer involved in the case,” The Blast writes. Any violation of this order could result in sanctions and the entire lawsuit be thrown out.

“The judge is allowing for Roscoe to be deposed from jail but everything else will be stayed until further notice from the court.”
