Sheriff Who Clams R. Kelly Wrecked His Marriage Wants to Question Singer About Alleged Affair

*R. Kelly was sued last year by a Mississippi sheriff who claims the singer ruined his life and his marriage when he began having an affair with his wife.

Now, Kenny Bryant reportedly plans on questioning the singer under oath as part of his lawsuit, according to court documents obtained by The Blast.

The outlet reports that Bryant intends to depose Kelly in Mississippi, one of the only states that allows a person to sue another for breaking up their marriage. He wants the interrogation to go down at his lawyer’s office and will be “continuing day to day until completed.”

Bryant says he knew Asia Childress had a relationship with Kelly prior to their marriage but was told it was over. They tied the knot in 2012 and the marriage was good until Kelly entered the picture again, the report states.

Bryant claims Kelly and Childress engaged in an intimate extramarital affair in October 2012. He accuses the singer of carrying out an affair with his wife for five years. He even says Kelly gave his wife Chlamydia during their affair.

Kelly has denied having an affair with Childress.

Bryant says his wife even suggested they move to Georgia (’cause she wanted to be closer to Kelly,) he agreed but when he was unable to find a job, Bryant was left in financial ruin.

Bryant claims every time the singer had a concert nearby, his wife would hurry off to be with him until ultimately, it all became too much and he was unable to hold onto his marriage.

Childress would later ask for a divorce.

Bryant said he suffered emotional, psychological and financial loss as a result of the affair, so he sued seeking damages for Kelly ruining his marriage.

Kelly filed court documents denying that he slept with her. He doesn’t believe he owes Bryant a dime and wants the case thrown out.

The case is ongoing.
