Bill Cosby Will Reportedly Receive Sex Offender Treatment in Prison

*Bill Cosby, who was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison last week, will reportedly have to go through a program known as the Responsible Living: A Sex Offender Treatment Program, to determine the extent of his treatment as a sex offender, The Epoch Times reports.

According to TMZ, there are seven phases of the program:

Phase 1: Responsibility Taking

Phase 2: Behavioral Techniques

Phase 3: Emotional Well-Being

Phase 4: Victim Empathy

Phase 5: Anger Management

Phase 6: Sex Education

Phase 7: Relapse Prevention

Cosby, who is blind and walks with a cane, will be evaluated by The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections to see what danger he poses and that will determine the sort of treatment he will receive, the report states.

“If he falls into a moderate-high or a high-risk category, he’ll have to complete all 7 phases of the sex offender program. If he falls into a low or low-moderate risk category, he’s just required to knock out Responsibility Taking, Sex Education and Relapse Prevention,” TMZ said.

As inmate No. NN7687 at the SCI Phoenix prison in Pennsylvania, Cosby will be allowed phone calls, visitation, and exercise, according to a report from Epoch Times. The disgraced star will have to serve at least three years in prison before he is eligible for parole.

He will also be “able to purchase his own television, radio, and tablet so that he will be able to receive email, music, and books,” Press Secretary for Corrections Amy Worden told Fox News.

She added, “These are possessions that inmates are allowed to have.”

“We are taking all of the necessary precautions to ensure Mr. Cosby’s safety and general welfare in our institution,” said Corrections Secretary John Wetzel in a statement. “The long-term goal is for him to be placed in the general population to receive the programming required during his incarceration.”

Meanwhile, Cosby spokesman Andrew Wyatt believes his client was subjected to the “most racist and sexist trial in the history of the United States.”

He said the three psychologists who testified against the former comedian were “white women who make money off of accusing black men of being sexual predators,” AP reported.
