*To add insult to injury, so to speak, here’s Bill Cosby‘s official mugshot, courtesy of the Montgomery County, PA Correctional Facility.
The mugshot went down in the aftermath of his sentencing on Tuesday (we can only wonder what he’s thinking). Then he was off to lockdown. Damn!
Even though it didn’t happen, Cosby had requested to be let out on bail pending appeal but the judge shot that down and he was remanded into custody immediately.
As we reported earlier, Cosby was sentenced to three to 10 years behind bars following his conviction for sexually assaulting a woman at his home in 2004.
As has been reported, Cosby’s first meal behind bars will include a chicken patty with gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, an iced tea juice packet … and vanilla pudding.
The comedian will also be designated a “sexually violent predator” and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. The classification means the legendary comedian must undergo lifetime counseling and report to authorities quarterly. In addition, his name will appear on a sex-offender registry sent to neighbors, schools, and victims.
Bill Cosby’s defense had argued the comedian was too old to serve time in prison.
The judge also denied Cosby’s request to be freed on bail pending appeal.
Meanwhile, here’s some reactions to Cosby’s sentencing …
Broadcaster Keith Boykin tweeted: “Bill Cosby sentenced to 3-10 years for sexual assault that took place years ago, but Brett Kavanaugh can still go to the U.S. Supreme Court without even an FBI investigation into sexual assault allegations against him.”
