*Tamar Braxton stunned fans when she confessed during a taping of Wendy Williams that she was molested as a child.
Braxton sat down with Wendy Wednesday and dished about the Braxton sister’s recent visit with Iyanla Vanzant to help settle some family drama. As we previously reported, As we previously reported, Tamar stormed out of the meeting. When Wendy pressed her about it that’s when Tamar revealed she’d been molested by members of both sides of her family.
“I’ve been battling myself about whether or not I want to say what happened or not … I’m Tamar and I’m real, right?” she told Williams while referencing a deep conversation she had with her sisters and “Fix My Life” star Iyanla Vanzant. “A lot of things happened in my childhood that I was too afraid to talk about. Too ashamed to talk about. But the truth of the matter is I have been molested by both sides of my family.”
TMZ sources in the audience say Williams didn’t ask for details about the alleged molestation and Tamar never named names.
She later added on Instagram, “I decided to Tell Wendy and the world MY secret, MYSELF that I have been a victim of abuse not once, twice, ten, but multiple times by multiple ‘family members’ I’ve never told ANYONE other than Two people in my life and they both have held this close to them.”
The full interview will air today, Thursday on “The Wendy Williams Show.”

In related news, Braxton’s divorce from estranged husband Vince Herbert is back on after the singer finally served him with the legal papers, The Blast reports.
She filed for divorce from Herbert back in October 2017 after nine years of marriage.
On September 11, the reality TV star filed court docs in her divorce showing “proof of service.”
The singer says Vince got the papers earlier this month.
