*Michael B. Jordan and Meek Mill put their charitable spirits on display this week in separate acts of giving back. On Monday, Jordan surprised a class of “young kings” by visiting their Alabama school to deliver an impromptu pep talk.

The “Black Panther” and Creed star was heading home from the Montgomery set of his new legal drama “Just Mercy” when he decided to drop in on a group of Valiant Cross Academy boys, who were exercising outside.

“I was driving from set & saw these young kings standing in their school parking lot doing jumping jacks in 90 degree Montgomery Alabama heat!” he captioned a video clip of the meeting. “The sight of them inspires me & reminds me why I do what I do!!”

The IG clip shows Michael getting out of his car and walking up to the children. Amid their shock of the actor in their presence, Jordan offered the boys some advice. “You gotta listen to your teachers… Make sure you listen to your parents,” he told them. “Work hard…, just pay attention in school, it’ll go by real quick, know what I’m saying?”

Meanwhile, in Philadelphia, native son Meek Mill is supporting local school kids by teaming with Puma, sports apparel company Fanatics, United Legwear and Philly’s luxury store Milano Di Rogue to donate more than 6,000 backpacks to students in the city, reports TMZ.

The backpacks reportedly come in three versions – for elementary kids, middle school and high school students. Pencil sharpeners, rulers, glue sticks and crayons fill the elementary school backpacks, while dry erase markers, notebooks and pens fill the high school version.

Meek tells TMZ he knows firsthand what it’s like for families to struggle financially around back-to-school time. He says, “Those memories stay with me and that’s why I’m committed to giving back to families in my hometown, putting smiles on kids’ faces and helping them start the school year on the right note with the right supplies.”
