*Ring the Alarm. Police have arrested the man who ran onstage and caused chaos at Beyonce and Jay-Z’s On the Run II tour stop in Atlanta on Saturday.

Atlanta Police officer Lisa Bender told The Associated Press that 26-year-old Anthony Charles Thomas Maxwell rushed the stage, stepped to Jay-Z and made contact with him as the show was ending Saturday night. Police say Maxwell was quickly stopped by security and Hov’s backup dancers.

Bey and Jay released a statement following the incident, noting they had no intentions on filing charges against Maxwell. On the other hand, it looks like Atlanta police have decided to make an example out of the stage rusher. Reports say Atlanta police will be charging Maxwell with “simple battery.”

Following the incident, Maxwell was treated for minor injuries. Since being released, Maxwell has been on Facebook discussing the aftermath of the incident. He posted a series of photos displaying his face and suppoded scratches from being detained.

Beyonce’s spokeswoman Yvette Noel-Schure says the singer and Jay-Z were unharmed.

Bender says Maxwell was initially issued a citation for disorderly conduct and released, but police have added a charge of simple battery. He was treated for minor injuries, and Bender says there were no other injuries.
