After serving seven months of his 1-year sentence behind bars following a raid of his home in January, the Florida rapper was released from Broward County jail early Saturday morning.

A camera crew was on hand to capture the 21-year-old as he exited the facility and attempted to ask him how he was feeling upon his release. But he was too focused on his freedom to respond.

Watch below:

Black, born Dieuson Octave, was arrested after police searched his Pembroke Pines home, tipped by an Instagram Live video that showed marijuana near his young son. He was charged with marijuana possession, child neglect, grand theft of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

His attorney, Bradford Cohen, argued that there was no way to prove that the weed and gun from the video could be determined to be authentic, and the charges should be dropped.

The rapper was facing up to 12 years in prison back in April, but was sentenced to one year in county jail after pleading guilty to two probation violations, including driving on a suspended license and “associating with people committing crimes.” The violation charges were dropped and other charges, including child neglect, that were connected to the police raid, were also dropped.

According to The Blast, Kodak’s first post-jail stop was to see his mother and son.
